Small Animal Management
This class students will be prepared for careers in the field of animal science, students need to enhance academic knowledge and skills, acquire knowledge and skills related to animal systems, and develop knowledge and skills regarding career opportunities, entry requirements, and industry expectations. To prepare for success, students need opportunities to learn, reinforce, apply, and transfer knowledge and skills in a variety of settings. Suggested small animals which may be included in the course of study include, but are not limited to, small mammals, amphibians, reptiles, avian, dogs, and cats.

Students are responsible for caring for each of our class pets throughout the school year. Students are responsible for feeding, cleaning, grooming, and additional care, but are NOT financially responsible for the class pets. This allows students to have a hands on experience with a variety of species. You will see the class pet care schedule on the calendar in the attachment for this page. It shows a year long schedule so students can plan accordingly.
